Some of us just loves animals. Some love cats, some love dogs but it is a piece of good advice not to try to make contact, pet them or feed them. In fact, there are over 300.000 stray dogs in central Bangkok and they are not pets, in any way, shape or form. They live on the streets and fight for their territory and defend their hood furiously. Anyone or anything that they see as a threat, they will mark their territory and even bite you. Rabies is very common and fleas and skin diseases are present on these animals. So don’t try to make friends with them, just be aware and keep your hands to yourself.
